The image is printed using varying thicknesses of material, allowing light to pass through differently and create a beautiful photo-like effect. When placed in one of our LED light backlit frames, your image comes to life with stunning depth and clarity.

High-resolution photos with good lighting and clear subjects produce the best results. Close-up photos of pets, babies, family members, and meaningful moments typically look amazing as lithophanes.

Avoid:

• Screenshots or low-resolution images

Yes. Keepsakes 3D is a Canadian family-owned and operated business. Every product is designed and printed in Canada using our growing 50-printer 3D print farm, allowing us to produce high-quality custom pieces while maintaining fast turnaround times.

Because every item is custom made to order, production usually takes 2–5 business days before shipping. Larger orders or busy periods may take slightly longer.

In most cases, we optimize your image and proceed with production to keep turnaround times fast. If your image has any potential quality concerns, we will contact you before printing to ensure the best possible result.

Our products are made using high-quality PLA filament, a durable and environmentally friendly material commonly used in professional 3D printing. It provides excellent detail and a smooth finish, perfect for photo lithophanes and custom nameplates.

Yes. 3D printing is a precision manufacturing process, but minor layer lines or small surface variations can occur. These are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing and do not affect the quality or functionality of your product.

Yes. If you already own one of our frames with the included LED lightboards you can order additional lithophane image from our store. This allows you to easily swap photos without buying a new frame.

Our lithophane light bases use low-heat LED lighting and are designed for safe, everyday use. Like any electrical item, we suggest turning them off when not in use or if left unattended for extended periods, and keeping them out of reach of children.

Because every item is custom made specifically for your order, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

However, if your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us and we will happily replace it.
